Over the years I filled note books with story ideas but one idea evolved, the story of Michael Hunter.
I took a Creative Writing course with Stratford Career Institute in Ontario and began to put together the story of Michael Hunter.
However, while working on Michael Hunter’s story I became intrigued by a church youth group’s presentation of the Christmas story and wrote The Scribe and the Sword, a fictional imagining of a scribe and his encounter with Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus. I wrote The Scribe and the Sword, taking a composite of the Gospels. Samuel the scribe is trapped between his early experience and his Jewish peers.
As a result of this experience, I decided it would be most appropriate to incorporate the Christian theme in my fiction adventure novels. Many bible characters, Jonathan, David, Daniel and others led adventurous lives while staying true to their faith. They were not perfect and had flaws. They were men after God’s heart, that is to say they pursued righteousness despite their flaws.
I have tried to publish several novels since 2008 but they have not catch on and I have been revising them and aiming to Publish the revised stories in the future. In December 2024 I released my first story TREASURES. This is the beginning of the Hunter Saga, starting with Michael Hunter. I am now working with Gotham Press to publish or republish The Scribe and the Sword.
The Lord willing, I will continue with the saga of Michael Hunter. The story takes a twist into science fiction but continues the Christian theme.
Michael’s story continues with THE QUARTERMASTER as he joins the U.S. Navy and his faith grows. In PROVIDENCE and SALEM Michael’s faith is challenged in the extreme as he finds himself in outer space.
The saga continues following his family. VAGABOND takes up the story of Charlie, Michael’s younger brother. Following that comes TROUBLE IN BOSTON and MARY’s QUEST. Other stories are planned.
